While anyone can become a coach,\u00a0an ICF credential\u00a0validates\u00a0a coach\u2019s knowledge and competence in\u00a0evidence-backed coaching competencies and\u00a0their\u00a0commitment\u00a0to\u00a0uphold\u00a0professional ethics.\u00a0As such, coaches with an ICF credential gain a competitive advantage in a high-demand industry.\u00a0Both the <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/credentialing\/icf-credentials-overview\/acc\/\">Associate Certified Coach<\/a> (ACC) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/credentialing\/icf-credentials-overview\/pcc\/\">Professional Certified Coach<\/a> (PCC) credentials are\u00a0covered\u00a0by\u00a0the GI Bill under the new addition.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoaching offers a fulfilling, flexible, and high-opportunity career path. It has proven to be an invigorating second career for many, and veterans will find it to be a passionate and welcoming community,\u201d said Magdalena Nowicka Mook, CEO of ICF. \u201cCoaching has a positive ripple effect that goes far beyond the individual coached, extending to a client\u2019s family, teams, and communities. As veterans pursue new paths after military service, I believe many will find coaching to be a new and rewarding way to remain professionally engaged in a very meaningful way. The leadership, teamwork, and work ethic that veterans bring with their experience will serve them \u2013 and their clients \u2013 well in a coaching career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to ICF\u2019s <em>2025 Global Coaching Study<\/em>, 73% of coaches worldwide say clients expect their coaches to be certified or credentialed. Earning an ICF credential will not only make them one of the more than 60,000 credentialed professionals globally but will help lend further legitimacy to their work with clients.<\/p>\n<p>With the GI Bill, veterans can use part of their entitlement to cover the costs of tests (up to $2,000 per test) for a job that requires a license or certification, even if they already receive other education benefits.
